It is a cottage, in the Aberdeenshire village of Pennan made famous by the feature film Local Hero', with uninterrupted views, from all rooms, of the sea and Pennan Bay.

There is a kitchen with Rayburn stove, lounge with wood burning stove, double bedroom, twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom, shower room and an attic with 3 children's beds and a toilet.
From November 2014 to April 2016 Doug & Nicky fully refurbished the cottage, installing a new kitchen and shower room and redecorating it from top to bottom.
Such was the success of the refurb Driftwood has been featured in '25 Beautiful Homes' in September 2016 and 'The Sunday Post' in January 2017.
Driftwood is all about R&R.  The sea will soothe you to sleep as it drags the large pebbles up and down the beach with soporific regularity.
The pace of life slows down to a crawl and I't's lovely.
No mobile signal in this town so you can have a partial digital detox.
WiFi, however is available but the speed belongs to the noughties, so you can forget streaming HD movies!
We do not rent out the cottage as it is too nice to be left to strangers so our friends and family are welcome to stay.
Just refer to the availability calendar and contact Doug to agree your dates.
